Ongoing Training for Patent Attorneys

Due to rapid developments in patent law and case law, Patent Attorneys are required to keep their knowledge up to date. DeltaPatents provides Ongoing Training courses on a regular basis. In these courses, an overview is given of the recent developments in the European Patent Convention, the Patent Cooperation Treaty and other international patent laws. Important decisions of Boards of Appeal and the Enlarged Board of Appeal will also be discussed. The courses include an in-depth review of certain subject of the EPC, PCT, or international patent law.

The courses can also be offered on an in-house basis.

Background and key issues

From 1 April 2010, the EPO will implement a number of measures to ”Raising The Bar” for European applicants. Although not yet in force, these changes have the potential to substantially impact daily practice. It is therefore important that European practitioners understand the changes, so that they can consider optimising their procedures in good time.
