Paper M3 Methodology

M3 is the final substantive paper and involves claim drafting, amending and defending claims and attacking claims. While some skills that are tested in the three parts of M3 are similar to those tested in the papers A, B and C of the classic EQE, the exam cases in M3 are expected to be quite different in terms of setting, structure and expected advisory skills. We therefore strongly advise resitters to take a dedicated M3 course in order to be well prepared as the exam.

The course builds on the knowledge and skills that candidates have developed with respect to EPC-substantive topics in their preparations for F, M1 and M2. Special attention will be given to the different contexts in which the cases of the three parts of M3 could be set.

The course is focused on building practical skills as can be expected in the exam. Cases play a key role in the course programme. The course is designed to be highly interactive, so it is expected that for the online sessions participants will turn their cameras on and participate actively.

This course is aimed at candidates who plan to sit the M3 paper in 2027. We strongly advise candidates to prepare for papers M3 and M4 in the same year.

When you enrol in the Paper M3 Distance Learning course, there’s no need to also take the M3 Methodology course or the M3 Guided Exam, as the content of both is fully integrated into the Paper M3 Distance Learning course.

Course schedule

You can choose to attend this course either online or partially onsite.

The online courses are provisionally scheduled to take place from 9:00 to 17:00 (CET) on the following dates:

Option 1: 28-30 September & 8 October 2026
Option 2: 16-18 & 26 November 2026
Option 3: 8-10 & 18 December 2026

In the partially onsite course*, the first three consecutive days are delivered onsite, followed by a break and a final day conducted online. The sessions are provisionally scheduled from 09:00 to 17:00 (local time) at the following locations:

Milan: 13-15 October (onsite) & 28 October 2026 (online)
Copenhagen: 24-26 November (onsite) & 3 December 2026 (online)
London: 30 November, 1-2 December (onsite) & 10 December 2026 (online)

* Please note that onsite courses may be converted to online format if the minimum number of registrations is not met.

Registration fee and VAT

You may register multiple participants for the same course within a single registration. However, each course requires a separate registration.

If you book multiple courses individually on the same day, only one administrative fee of € 125 will apply. A consolidated invoice, including any applicable discounts, will be issued.
All fees listed above are exclusive of 21% VAT. If a valid VAT number is provided, VAT will be exempted.

When to register?

Both our onsite and online courses have limited participant slots. To ensure your place, we highly recommend registering as early as possible.

The course includes the shipment of physical materials, please register at least two weeks in advance, provided that seats are still available. Late registrations may result in delayed delivery of course materials. Note that digital copies of the course materials will not be provided if there are delays in the physical shipment due to late registration.
