The course builds on the knowledge and skills that candidates have developed with respect to EPC-substantive topics in their preparations for Part 2 of the Foundation Module. This course is aimed at providing insight into how to tackle the M1 paper.

The course focuses on how to deal with the types of questions that can be expected in the two different parts of the exam. For M1 Part 1, we will look into how to deal with the questions on substantive aspects and the new type of questions that test a holistic insight into the European patent system. In relation to M1 Part 2, the basics of claim drafting from scratch, amending and defending claims and analysis and argumentation with respect to validity of claims are discussed.

This course is aimed at candidates who passed the Foundation Module of the EQE and plan to take the M1-paper in 2027. We strongly advise candidates to prepare for papers M1 and M2 in the same year.

This Guided Exam Course helps candidates to understand what this paper is about and provides the opportunity to practice using two mock exams that are designed by DeltaPatents.
Prior to the course, participants will be given access to a mock exam in WISEflow. Participants are expected to hand in their answers before the course. The answers to this mock exam will be discussed during the course. A second mock exam will be practiced during the course, guided and assisted by the tutor. Strategies for tackling typical questions of both Part 1 and Part 2 of the M1 paper will be discussed.
The mock exams that are used in the course are specially designed by the tutors of DeltaPatents, so they provide exclusive additional training material for candidates to practice with in preparation for the M1 paper. 
The course comprises two half-day online sessions, generally in the morning on two consecutive days. In the afternoon after the first session, candidates will work practice the second mock exam, again in WISEflow. There will be no lecturing in this afternoon, but the tutor will be available for candidates who have questions or run into difficulties. 
In the online sessions, the mock exams will be discussed, along with questions that candidates may have with respect to issues they ran in while doing the two mock papers. 

Practice a few weeks before the real exam in order to adjust your method, on papers as close as possible to the final exam. Get an evaluation on your level for each paper, thanks to a personalized marking of each paper, comments and advices from the tutor, in particular on the methodology used and the structure of your answer.

Der Kurs baut auf den Kenntnissen und Fähigkeiten auf, die die Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten im Hinblick auf materielle Aspekte des EPÜ im Rahmen ihrer Vorbereitung auf Aufgabe F Teil 2 erworben haben. Ziel des Kurses ist es, Einblicke zu vermitteln, wie die Aufgabe M1 erfolgreich bearbeitet werden kann.

Der Kurs konzentriert sich darauf, wie mit den Fragetypen umzugehen ist, die in den beiden unterschiedlichen Teilen der Prüfung zu erwarten sind. Für M1 Teil 1 wird behandelt, wie Fragen zu materiellrechtlichen Aspekten sowie die neuen Fragetypen angegangen werden, die ein ganzheitliches Verständnis des europäischen Patentsystems prüfen. In Bezug auf M1 Teil 2 werden die Grundlagen der Anspruchserstellung von Grund auf, das Ändern und Verteidigen von Ansprüchen sowie die Analyse und Argumentation hinsichtlich der Gültigkeit von Ansprüchen behandelt.

Dieser Kurs richtet sich an Kandidatinnen und Kandidaten, die die Foundation Prüfung der EEP bestanden haben und planen, die Aufgabe M1 im Jahr 2027 abzulegen. Wir empfehlen dringend, die Aufgaben M1 und M2 im selben Jahr abzulegen.

Dieser Probeprüfung unter Anleitung Kurs unterstützt Kandidaten dabei zu verstehen, worum es in dieser Prüfung geht, und bietet die Möglichkeit, anhand von zwei von DeltaPatents entwickelten Probeprüfungen zu üben.

Vor dem Kurs erhalten die Teilnehmer Zugang zu einer Probeprüfung in WISEflow. Es wird erwartet, dass die Teilnehmer ihre Antworten vor Kursbeginn einreichen. Die Lösungen dieser Probeprüfung werden während des Kurses besprochen. Eine zweite Probeprüfung wird im Verlauf des Kurses bearbeitet, wobei die Teilnehmer vom Tutor angeleitet und unterstützt werden. Darüber hinaus werden Strategien zur Bearbeitung typischer Fragestellungen sowohl für Teil 1 als auch für Teil 2 der M1-Prüfung vermittelt.

Die im Kurs verwendeten Probeprüfungen wurden speziell von den Tutoren von DeltaPatents entwickelt und stellen somit exklusives zusätzliches Übungsmaterial zur Vorbereitung auf die M1-Prüfung dar.

Der Kurs besteht aus zwei halbtägigen Online-Sitzungen, die in der Regel an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen am Vormittag stattfinden. Am Nachmittag nach der ersten Sitzung bearbeiten die Teilnehmer die zweite Probeprüfung, ebenfalls in WISEflow. In diesem Zeitraum findet keine Vorlesung statt, jedoch steht der Tutor für Fragen oder bei Schwierigkeiten zur Verfügung.

In den Online-Sitzungen werden die Probeprüfungen sowie Fragen der Teilnehmer zu Problemen, die während der Bearbeitung der beiden Prüfungen aufgetreten sind, ausführlich besprochen. 

Le cours se déroule sur 3 jours, avec 2 jours consacrés à l’apprentissage théorique au travers d’un grand nombre
d’exercices et 1 jour consacré aux examens blancs, réalisés en conditions réelles. Les différents sujets abordés lors de l’examen (priorité, date effective, clarté, nouveauté, étendue de la protection, extension de l’objet, activité inventive,
demandes divisionnaires, etc…) sont traités, au travers d’un grand nombre d’exemples pratiques. Le cours montre donc comment appliquer ses connaissances juridiques théoriques à l’’épreuve M1, sur la base de nombreux exercices. Les participants doivent se munir des ouvrages qu’ils utiliseront pendant l’examen.

S’entraîner 1 à 2 mois avant l’examen pour peaufiner sa méthode sur des examens proches de l’examen final. Pouvoir évaluer son niveau aux différentes épreuves grâce à une correction et des commentaires personnalisés du tuteur, en particulier sur la méthode utilisée par le candidat et la structure de sa réponse. Pouvoir ajuster sa méthode avant l’examen final.
