Paper M4 Guided Exam

Preparing for paper M4 involves a lot of practice. Not only is it important to understand the underlying legal topics, but understanding how to read the questions, analyse the information given in the questions and how to formulate and present your answer (including how much detail to provide) has a significant impact on how well you do on the exam. However, this can be difficult to judge on your own.

In this course, you submit a homework paper before the course begins and receive personalised feedback from the tutor on your submitted work. The feedback is objective, specific to your answers and your answer style, to highlight aspects of your paper M4 preparation that you should focus on. During the session, you will be guided through further exam questions and will be able to ask questions and discuss issues, providing a lot of practice to help you best prepare for the exam. You will also have the opportunity to gain familiarity with the EQE exam system (Wiseflow) ahead of the real exam.

Analyzing the client’s letter
Organizing the information using tools such as a timeline
Dealing with recurring problems such as public disclosure dates, invalid priorities, “first application”, insufficiency of disclosure, non-prejudicial disclosures, entitlement
Advising the client and improving his position
Recognizing threats from the competitor

Materials

Sheets summarizing an approach to M4 questions, time management issues, materials to take to the exam, and tips for the exam
DeltaPatents’ own model solutions for the M4 papers practiced. Initially based on past EQE DII papers, they have been fully updated to incorporate the latest legal changes, and demonstrate how the DeltaPatents’ methodology has been applied
Materials to be used during the exam
Where relevant, we will use WISEflow, giving you the opportunity to get familiar with the system used during the EQE

If you register for the Paper M4 Methodology course as well as the Paper M4 Guided Exam course, you will receive a discount of € 200 (on the course fee of the Guided Exam). Registration fee and VAT information

You may register multiple participants for the same course within a single registration. However, each course requires a separate registration.
If you book multiple courses individually on the same day, only one administrative fee of € 125 will apply. A consolidated invoice, including any applicable discounts, will be issued.
All fees listed above are exclusive of 21% VAT. If a valid VAT number is provided, VAT will be exempted.

This practice course includes requires a pre-training assignment to be submitted around 10 working days before the course start date. We recommend registering at least two weeks in advance, provided seats are still available. Late registration may result in insufficient time to complete the assignment or receive feedback from the tutor.
