Course schedule 

You can choose to attend this course either online or onsite.

The online courses are provisionally scheduled to take place from 9:00 to 17:00 (CET) on the following dates:

  • Option 1: 21-23 October 2026

  • Option 2: 3-5 November 2026

  • Option 2: 2-4 December 2026

The onsite courses* are provisionally scheduled to take place from 9:00 to 17:00 (local time) at the following locations:

  • Milan: 17-19 November 2026

  • Copenhagen: 8-10 December 2026

  • London: 14-16 December 2026

* Please note that onsite courses may be converted to online format if the minimum number of registrations is not met.

General

  •        How to prepare for paper M4

  •        Time management

  •        Styles and detail of answering

Specific

  •        Analyzing the client’s letter

  •        Extracting and organizing the information using tools such as a timeline

  •        Frequently occurring patentability issues, including invalid priorities, added subject matter, insufficient disclosure

  •        Frequently occurring “solutions” on how to improve the client’s position, such as opposition, entitlement, late entry to national phase

  •        Recognising threats from the competitor and advising the client on FTO   

Materials

  •        A book with sheets on the M4 methodology, analysis tools, and model answers to the papers and cases covered during the course

  •        Material for use at the exam, including methodology flowcharts and timeline template

  • Where relevant, we will use WISEflow, giving you the opportunity to get familiar with the system used during the EQE

  •        Additional material, including tips on using WISEflow will be made available in electronic format

Course fee

  • 4-day Paper M3 Methodology online: € 1.530
  • 4-day Paper M3 Methodology onsite: € 1.815

Bundle Discount

If you register for the Paper M4 Guided Exam course as well as the Paper M4 Methodology course, you will receive a discount of € 200 (on the course fee of the Guided Exam). This offer applies only to candidates who register for both courses on the same day, and who take the courses within the same EQE year.

Registration fee and VAT

You may register multiple participants for the same course within a single registration. However, each course requires a separate registration. 

  • If you book multiple courses individually on the same day, only one administrative fee of € 125 will apply. A consolidated invoice, including any applicable discounts, will be issued.
  • All fees listed above are exclusive of 21% VAT. If a valid VAT number is provided, VAT will be exempted.

When to register?

Both our onsite and online courses have limited participant slots. To ensure your place, we highly recommend registering as early as possible.

The course includes the shipment of physical materials, please register at least two weeks in advance, provided that seats are still available. Late registrations may result in delayed delivery of course materials. Note that digital copies of the course materials will not be provided if there are delays in the physical shipment due to late registration.
